A BCom graduate majoring in Accounting and Management from Auckland University, he has decades of experience in the sector.
Coupled with Rod’s professional qualifications are his fiscal management background and significant business development expertise.
He has held senior financial management roles in national blue chip companies as well as pivotal sales/marketing positions, before establishing Gabb Associates Ltd – his own successful business consultancy practice.
Rod’s right hand man is Nick Blythe. Nick has a Bachelor of Business from Auckland University of Technology majoring in Accounting and Economics.
Together, they operate out of Newmarket and are strongly networked throughout Auckland’s business community.
But for Rod, business is part of a broader picture.
He is a member of the Wesley College trust board, former member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants schools liaison group, former chairman of the Counties Manukau RFU, former director of the Chiefs Rugby Foundation, and a life member of the NZ Rugby Foundation.
